What We Carry

A first responder kit is built around the first crucial minutes on scene: protect, assess, support, and hand over clearly. This page explores a selection of some of the items we carry — not an exhaustive list — with explanations as to why each one is so useful and essential.

This is a visual exploration of typical equipment rather than an exhaustive inventory. Exact contents can vary by training, scope, and operational need.

Portable Oxygen Cylinder

We use supplemental oxygen when a patient's blood oxygen levels are lower than they should be — not simply because they feel breathless. Conditions like COPD can mean a patient's normal baseline is already lower than usual, so we assess their SpO₂ reading and treat accordingly.

Role on scene

Raises blood oxygen saturation in patients whose SpO₂ has fallen below a safe level

Built to extend

A structure ready for the full bag story.

This first pass uses a circular staging composition, but the scroll narrative is already structured so the opening scene can later become a proper bag reveal, open, and empty sequence.
